About us

In 2021, we decided to pursue our shared dream. We bought a dilapidated farmhouse and embarked on an ambitious renovation project.

With our combined expertise and passion for sustainability, we transformed the old farmhouse into a charming gîte, perfect for families and friends looking for a peaceful, eco-friendly holiday.

Jan used his technical knowledge to strengthen the structure of the farmhouse and integrate modern, energy-efficient systems.

Els ensured that the rooms and garden are comfortable and welcoming, with an emphasis on a healthy and stimulating living environment.

Together, we want to create a harmonious place where guests can enjoy tranquillity, surrounded by greenery and respect for nature.

We are Jan's parents.

Renovating and building has been in our blood for generations. When we see that even our grandson is already doing it, we are very proud.

In the beginning, we mainly came to help and think about technical solutions.

The more we came to Aublain, the more our love for this region and this building grew. So we decided to commit ourselves fully to this wonderful project.

We have already made beautiful memories here with our friends and family and we want to give others the chance to do the same.

When we arrive in Aublain, we always immediately get a real holiday feeling.

So when my sister Els asked us if we wouldn't like to collaborate on this family project, we didn't hesitate for a moment.

Hanna's experience as an interior designer made it possible to turn a dilapidated farmhouse into a modern gîte while respecting the authenticity and materials of the original building.

Joris' know-how in renovation and finance gave us a solid push and support for this grand project.
